Encountering Christ through Communion

On November 17-19, 2025, The Diocese of Redemption was pleased to host its second annual convocation. The theme for this year's convocation was Encountering Christ through Communion, and the event was kicked off by an evening of good music, good food, and great fellowship at local Ponte Vedra Beach attraction, Fantasy Farms. Tuesday was a busy day that started off with morning prayer and a panel discussion on controversies surrounding the Table including the nature of Communion and the practice of "fencing the Table." The panel was followed by sessions exploring the history of Eucharist, the theology of Eucharist, and the pastoral implications of Eucharist. The Tuesday activities were concluded with a full Eucharistic service that evening at which The Revd. Jerrett McConnell was installed as Canon to the Ordinary for the diocese.

The Diocese of Redemption was honored to welcome nearly 40 clergy and postulants to this year's convocation as well as a number of local pastors who are exploring joining the diocese and the CEEC. The Revd. Canon Jerrett is already busy planning for an ordination service in Green Bay, Wisconsin in February and for Convocation 2026 in November of next year.
